In her family's words

She had a way of making ordinary days feel like occasions.

Margaret grew up near the coast and carried the sea with her throughout her life. She met Frank at a Saturday dance, raised three children, and spent more than forty years teaching primary school children to be curious and kind.

She remembered every birthday, always had something baking, and believed flowers belonged in every room. Her family remembers her humour most: quick, dry, and usually delivered while pouring another cup of tea.

The table was never quite big enough, which only made us squeeze in closer. There was always another chair and somehow always enough roast potatoes.
